Easy enough for a third-grade student, yet a great entry activity for a high school student, students are guided through many of the basic tools and concepts used in all 3D modeling programs. I provide an introduction to using the browser version, but the bulk of the lesson is demonstrated with the PC/Mac software. SketchUp is a free 3D modeling program that runs on Windows, Macs and now with the browser version (beta), Chromebooks. If a student gets totally messed up at some point, I have included the original SketchUp files, saved at the end of each chapter, so you can share them as needed.
